Plan now to attend this year’s Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 12 at Top Golf in Overland Park, KS.
Helping to organize the event is Heartland Chapter member Bobby Riggins, Groups & Events Manager, Overland Chauffeured Services, Kansas City and Worldwide.
“You do not have to be a good golfer to have fun at Top Golf,” says Bobby. “One of the main reasons we moved the golf tournament to Top Golf a few years ago is to allow more non-golfers to participate. All skill levels can play Top Golf!”
The event begins at 2 p.m. and there will be appetizers at registration and then a late lunch/early dinner will be served at 3:30 p.m. The event ends at 5 p.m.
Bobby adds that “thanks to our bar sponsors, we will have drink tickets for each attendee. There will also be unlimited fountain drinks, iced tea and water.”
The Chapter has reserved 16 bays and each bay can accommodate six people. So, we are hoping for at least 96 people on September 12th.
And, finally, if you have never been to Top Golf before, Bobby explains that “It is a game that anyone can play. You score points by hitting micro-chipped golf balls at giant dartboard-like targets in the field of play. The golf ball contains an RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) chip that tells the Top Golf system that you are about it hit it. When your golf ball falls into the zone, the readers scan its RFID chip, and the data is passed to the Top Golf system to register the score. It is very cool.”
