Heartland Chapter Highlights

April 2023:

At our Best in Class event we collected art supplies to donate to Scraps KC.

 

March 2023:

On March 31 our chapter members celebrated GMID Day and were able to lend a helping hand at Harvesters Community Food Network. They sorted and bagged thousands of apples that will be divvied up to the various organizations Harvesters supports.

February 2023:

From the proceeds of our Annual Awards Banquet and Charity Auction, we were thrilled to present Variety KC Children’s Charity a check for $7,500.  They have recently built and opened an Inclusive Playground in the Northland of Kansas City.  Our chapter will be partnering with them this summer for a community service opportunity.

December 2022:

The Heartland Chapter Executive board stuffed stockings for reStart families this holiday season. Thank you to all who donated money and items from our Amazon list for this great cause.

 

November 2022: 

The State of the Industry event supported the Veteran’s Community Project by collecting food donations, while we don’t have exact quantities, it filled the back of an SUV and was valued a at least $250 plus gift cards.

August 2022:

Our in-person event supported Dress for Success by collecting professional clothing, accessories, and shoes for their closet. The Chapter donated 109 pieces and $50 in cash.

June 2022:

We gathered for the E3 Conference at Lake of the Ozarks partnerning with the Central & Northeast Missouri Foodbank to collect two 55-gallon barrels of food.

 

April 2022:

Our in-person event held a raffle for four Sporting KC tickets supplied by Visit KC. The proceeds benefitted Ukrainian refugee programs through Heart-to-Heart International.

 

March 2022:

Members of the Heartland Chapter gathered at reStart and spent the day helping in the Family clothing area sorting clothes, toys, coats, etc.

February 2022:

At our Chapter’s Annual Award Banquet & Installation, our auction proceeds went to reStart here in Kansas City.  reStart empowers individuals and families to prevent, navigate or end homelessness. Our chapter was thrilled to be able to present reStart with a donation in the amount of $10,000 thanks to the generosity of our members.
