In addition to the airport updates, we’re also going to hear from Meyer about the Real ID. The Real ID Act was enacted on May 11, 2005; is an Act of Congress that modifies U.S. federal law pertaining to security, authentication, and issuance procedure standards for drivers’ licenses and identity documents, as well as various immigration issues pertaining to terrorism. October 1, 2020 is the deadline to obtain your Real ID. Come learn more about this act, necessary paperwork to obtain your Real ID and how TSA/Global Entry officials think this will help the travel sector.
About the speaker:
Justin Meyer, KC Aviation Department, Deputy Director for MCI
As the Deputy Director of Aviation, Marketing and Air Service Development, Justin leads a team of professionals that focuses on air service development, air cargo and economic development, media relations and advertising, as well as customer service.
In this role he carefully identifies and develops the expansion of international and domestic passenger and air cargo services. Create and implement short and long term strategies to maximize aviation and non-aviation revenues and increase customer satisfaction. Meyer also serves as one of the Department’s liaisons with airlines, tenants, public agencies (federal, state and local) and other regional contacts.
Prior to his time at MCI, Meyer was the Director of Air Service Development at Hillsborough County Aviation Authority in Florida, and has worked for Vanguard Airlines and AirTran Airways post-college graduation from Florida Institute of Technology.
