Pop-Up GMID Celebration Day

To celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day, we are proud to announce the MPIKC and PCMA’s Heartland Chapter are going to be hosting a live volunteer event on Thursday, April 8th, from 1p-4p at the beautiful Loews Kansas City!

In a year with so much adversity in our industry, we are all thankful for each other and the support each of us has received. As we move further into 2021, and things continue to look up, this is a great opportunity for our industry to give back.

This event will focus on the donation of much needed resources to a very deserving local charity in Operation Breakthrough. Operation Breakthrough focuses on servicing the needs of underserved children in the Kansas City area, and with the help of our members, our goal is to assemble and pack at least 500 bags with the goods most needed by Operation Breakthrough.

We’ll spend the afternoon together in an “assembly line” organizing donated goods for charity, and finish with a networking reception that will be provided by our friends at the Loews Kansas City. Food will be provided along with a cash bar.

Admission for MPIKC and PCMA members will be free for this event. Non-members will be charged a $25 registration fee, which will be donated entirely to the charity. If you are a member of either chapter, please register through them so you are not charged as a non-member.

We look forward to this time together, and celebrating the industry we all love so much, and the best part is we get to do a lot of good for those who need it most. We are also encouraging individual and organizational donations and sponsorships, so please consider giving to this very worthy cause.
