Social Impact Panel Luncheon

Come learn how your next meeting can have a social impact on your members, community, and destination. Our panel will walk you through how they’ve created social impact experiences starting with a meeting planner and our President-Elect (Sandy Wachter, CMP with American Association of School Personnel Administrators) to a destination (Kaleena James with Visit KC) to a non-profit organization (Cassandra Ford with Bridging The Gap). Our moderator and Community Service Chair, Sarah Morrissey, CMP with Distinctive Meetings Inc, will also share the NEW Helping Hands program.

Unleashed Pet Rescue is a licensed, non-profit animal shelter founded in 2011 that works to save the lives of homeless pets and strives to improve the image of bully breeds in society. They work with local high kill shelters throughout the area to pull “unwanted” pets to safety and work to find homes for pets of all ages, health, temperaments, and history. Each adoptable pet is given the opportunity to thrive. They have created an organization that is no-kill and will not euthanize any animal due to overcrowding.
Thousands of animals come through their doors each year and they do not receive state or federal funding and rely entirely upon donations to cover operating expenses. If you are able to give a few dollars we will be collecting donations at registration. Additionally, If you have any of the following items you would like to donate, please bring them to the event and we will deliver them to Unleashed Pet Rescue on your behalf.
