This week for our Focus On A Member series, we hear from Sarah Morrissey,  Director of Meetings and Events, Distinctive Meetings Inc.

What was your favorite Netflix binge during 2020?
Ozark and Bridgerton…and Disney Plus…SO MUCH Disney with the kids.

Personally, or professionally, were there any positive things that came out of the pandemic (i.e. more time with family, house projects, got a dog, curbside pick up)?
Extra time with family and finding new ways to communicate with loved ones has been a big positive to come out of the pandemic. Also, curbside everything – food, shopping, etc.! So thankful for the Target Drive-up teams. 🙂

What did 2020 teach you about your professional life?
I love my job more than I thought. I missed SO MANY of the different elements of the in-person event world.

What did 2020 teach you about your personal life?
Thank goodness that I didn’t go in to teaching! 🙂

I am looking forward to 2021 because…
Each year brings new possibilities and opportunities. We had to learn and grow even more in 2020 and excited to see how much better we all have become.
