Welcome to new Heartland Chapter member Dustin Roberson, Regional Sales Director, Encore.
The first concert I went to was: Sick and Twisted Tour with Korn and Staind around 1997.
My favorite holiday is: Independence Day.
What you would be surprised to know about me: I was the audio engineer running sound on-stage for Phillip Phillips when he performed at Kauffman Stadium during the 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star game. It was live on Fox and I was on TV!
My favorite food is: Chicken wings.
My next dream trip is to: anywhere in Europe; haven’t made it there yet!
Recently read book I recommend reading is: Must admit, I have not read a book in quite some time. I’m an NPR news junkie and read up daily to keep up with current events and perspectives.
Nickname growing up was: D-Rob.
Won’t eat: Coconut.
Movie or bowling? Both please!
Start every morning with: Coffee, two cups minimum.
Why I joined the PCMA Heartland Chapter: To expand my network within the event industry and learn how to better relate with the client that I or my team works with.
Best business tip/idea I’ve learned recently: The more you know, the more you assume everyone else knows. Said another way, always check for understanding.
My primary goal to achieve during the next five years is: Get my CMP certification and continue growing in my role as Regional Sales Director with Encore.
