Meet New Chapter President Hayley Neverve

Today, Hayley Neverve, our new Chapter president, shares these insights about her and her vision for our Chapter during 2023.

When did you become involved in the PCMA Heartland Chapter and what made you want to join?

Hayley: I joined PCMA about 10 years ago. It’s an organization with strong leaders, excellent education and our membership is incredibly welcoming. Yes, this is a professional organization, but I’ve made great friends that are like family.

What are you looking forward to in 2023 as the Heartland Chapter President?

Hayley: I’m excited to grow our Chapter. I think we have a real opportunity to increase membership post-pandemic.

What do you want to accomplish as a Chapter this year?

Hayley: 2023 is the year to build our membership! But also, like most nonprofit organizations, I want to make sure we stay within our budget too.

Where do you see the Heartland Chapter headed?

Hayley: We have always been a tiny but mighty chapter and will continue to be a force. Our members are exceptional ambassadors for our industry and a great example for the next generation of hospitality professionals.

Past President, Vicki Baker, used the theme “The Year of RE” for Revive, Renew and Refresh. Will you have a theme for the Chapter for 2023 and if so, what will it be?

Hayley: I don’t have a theme per se, but my goal is to ensure our surrounding states feel more included. I want to have 4-5 events of some sort, outside the KC metro area.

What do you want Chapter members to know about you?

Hayley: I want to hear from our members. Don’t hesitate to reach out, offer feedback, ask questions or just say hello.

What one thing always makes you happy? Hard to pick just one!

Hayley: Beach vacations are certainly top of the list, and I always look forward to Girl’s Night Out with my friends. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family and they make me so happy, but not ALWAYS. 😉

If you could see anyone in concert, who would it be?

Hayley: Music is a huge part of my life. I’ve seen so many great shows! I wish I had seen Tom Petty and Michael Jackson in concert when they were alive. As far as an artist that is still alive, I’d love to see Bruno Mars or Lady Gaga.

What are two things on your bucket list?

Hayley: I want to attend all the Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments – only been to the US Open so far.

What is the biggest obstacle you have overcome?

Hayley: There are obstacles on a daily basis, and I have a fear of change. However, change is the only constant in life, so I’ve learned to adapt and be flexible as things arise. I have a very blessed life and truly am a lucky lady.
