Focus on a Member: Cheri Jones

This week we focus on Heartland Chapter member, Cheri Jones, CMP Cheri Jones Meetings.

What was your favorite Netflix binge during 2020?
The Crown, Heartland.

What is the best recipe you tried in 2020?
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls, Grilled Artichokes, Zucchini Rollatini.

Personally or professionally, were there any positive things that came out of the pandemic (i.e. more time with family, house projects, got a dog, curbside pick up)?
Lots of family time (puzzles, walks, cooking, etc).
My faith is even deeper due to my studies and prayer.
I had a Life 101 weekly session with our senior daughter – she learned to write a check, read a prescription pill bottle, boil eggs, make homemade cinnamon rolls, sew on a button, hem a dress, iron, etc
Zoom game nights with our families.
We would facetime our niece and color and read with her.

What did 2020 teach you about your professional life?
That I absolutely love what I do. I desperately missed not working and decided that I wasn’t changing industries; I was going to be patient and continue to learn to maneuver through the changing times. I am so proud of our chapter and our perseverance and creativity to support, guide and continue to educate the members. I also am grateful that PCMA discounted memberships and offered so many things complimentary.

What new hobby have you started in the past year?                                                                                                                                                   Cross Stitching

I am looking forward to 2021 because…
I have started my own company as an independent planner/project manager. I prayed a lot about this HUGE move and everything fell into place. I am anxiously excited. I thank several of our members for their guidance and positive feedback.
